Directions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).

  • Bake the Pizzas: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the tortillas are crispy.
  • Add Fresh Toppings: Remove from the oven and top with salsa, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, black olives, jalapeños, and fresh cilantro.
  • Serve: Slice and serve the Mexican pizzas hot.

What type of tortillas should I use for Mexican pizza?

Flour tortillas work best for Mexican pizza as they provide a sturdy and crispy base. You can use corn tortillas if you prefer a different texture or flavor, but keep in mind they may be more fragile.

Yes, you can prepare the components in advance by cooking the beef mixture and chopping the toppings. Assemble the pizzas just before baking to ensure they are fresh and crispy.

Leftover Mexican pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispiness before serving again.

Feel free to customize your Mexican pizza with toppings like avocado slices, sour cream, green onions, or even a squeeze of lime for added zest!

Certainly! For a milder flavor, omit the jalapeños and use a mild salsa. If you like it spicier, add extra jalapeño slices or a dash of hot sauce.

Shredded cheddar or a Mexican blend cheese works well, but you can use any cheese that melts smoothly, like Monterey Jack or pepper jack for added spice.
